Our teams are composed of designers with an artistic sensibility, engineers with highly specialized technical knowledge, and planners with a deep understanding of policy and economics. The synthesis of these viewpoints generates design solutions that no single person could have imagined on their own. From sustainable engineering, to healthcare design, to regenerative city planning, none of our areas of expertise stands alone. Each is deeply interwoven with the others, informing and being informed by them.
Key to our ethos is supporting the public life of our cities. We do this by ensuring each project makes positive contributions to its public realm giving more than it takes.
We focus on Structure, Craft, Art and Nature interpreting each principle for the project at hand. Every project is approached with a ‘total design’ mindset, meaning design is central to our thinking from first sketch to final site advice.
We seek the brightest minds to innovate our design, processes and typology. We welcome collaboration, from both traditional and disruptive sources, should it contribute to better design outcomes.
Through summer internships, shadowing programs, and the Year One career accelerator program, students and emerging designers get access to the full range of professional expertise across our firm. Our design teams foster a culture where all voices are heard, and the best ideas are elevated.

As architects and workplace strategists, it should come as no surprise that we’re serious about the design of our own offices. Drawing inspiration from the cities where we work, we’ve designed each of our studios to create an unmistakable sense of place.
